Jay Shah QUASHES Rumours That BCCI Approached Ricky Ponting Justin Langer With India Head Coach Job Offer

Jay Shah says that BCCI has not approached anyone for Team India head coach job


Over the last few days, there has been various reports that suggest Justin Langer and Ricky Ponting have been approached by the Board Of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) for the role of the Team India’s head coach. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has denied such reports of approaching the dormer Australian players.

Jay Shah in statement on Friday said, “Neither I nor BCCI have approached any former Australian cricketer with a coaching offer. The reports circulating in certain media sections are completely incorrect. Finding right coach for our national team is a meticulous and thorough process.”

Team India job is one of the high pressure and expectation jobs in the cricket world currently. Regarding the process of appointment, Jay Shah clarified that the job is a prestigious one and it requires someone who understands the domestic circuit well.
