Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will play the first afternoon fixture of the season on March 23 in Mohali, while Kolkata Knight Riders' season begins at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad later on the same day. Rajasthan Royals also get their season underway at home, against Lucknow Super Giants on the first Sunday of the season.

This first phase of the season will not have any matches in Delhi with the Delhi Capitals playing their two home games in Vizag. BCCI is expected to announce the remainder of the schedule after the Election Commission of India announces the General Election dates.
