Virat Kohli to train with Delhi squad

Virat Kohli is set to train with the Delhi team on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, ahead of their Ranji Trophy match against Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, starting January 30. This marks Kohli's potential return to the Ranji Trophy after a 13-year hiatus, with his last appearance in 2012.

His participation aligns with the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) recent emphasis on international players engaging more in domestic cricket. In preparation, Kohli has been training with former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore batting coach Sanjay Bangar, as seen in recent photos and videos circulating on social media.

Following the Ranji Trophy match, Kohli is expected to join India's One Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming three-match series against England, commencing on February 6 in Nagpur.

Delhi coach Sarandeep Singh has confirmed Kohli's inclusion in the squad for the match against Railways, expressing optimism about the positive impact of his presence on the team.

Kohli's return to domestic cricket is anticipated to bolster Delhi's performance and provide valuable experience to the squad.
