The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.61 per cent up at 19538.25.

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:05AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market. Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.23 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.21 per cent) and Ashok Leyland Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.61 per cent at 19538.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 117.61 points at 21733.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 451.6 points at 71524.09.
