Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have confirmed that Rishabh Pant has stepped down from his captaincy role, with the franchise accepting his request with immediate effect.

According to the franchise, Pant communicated his decision to the team management, following which discussions were held and a mutual understanding was reached to proceed with the change in leadership.

LSG management stated that the decision has been taken keeping the team’s long-term planning and balance in mind. The franchise also acknowledged Pant’s contributions as captain and his role in shaping the team environment during his tenure.
