Mumbai, November 11, 2025 — Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra is currently stable and recovering at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, his daughter Esha Deol confirmed on Monday, putting an end to the wave of false death rumours that spread rapidly across social media earlier in the day.
Esha released a statement expressing gratitude for the concern shown by fans and well-wishers while urging everyone to avoid believing or sharing unverified reports.
“My father is stable and recovering well. Please don’t pay attention to baseless rumours. Our family appreciates everyone’s love, care, and prayers, but we also request privacy during this time,” Esha said in her official note.
The 89-year-old actor, known as Bollywood’s He-Man and one of Indian cinema’s most beloved stars, was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital last week after experiencing breathlessness and mild chest discomfort. Sources close to the family confirmed that doctors carried out necessary tests and have kept him under observation as a precaution.
Dharmendra’s wife and veteran actress Hema Malini also reassured fans, saying he is responding well to treatment and is being “looked after by the best team of doctors.” She added,
“He’s doing much better now. Please give our family the space we need and continue sending him your blessings.”
