Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned in Atlanta, Georgia, alongside former President Barack Obama as she made a final push to win over voters, with only two weeks left until Election Day. The event featured a musical performance by Bruce Springsteen and a guest appearance from filmmaker Tyler Perry.

The event attracted several high-profile attendees, including director Spike Lee, media mogul Tyler Perry, and renowned actor Samuel L. Jackson.

During the rally, Springsteen expressed concerns shared by Democrats and some former Trump administration officials, saying, "Donald Trump is running to be an American tyrant."

The singer, famous for his socially aware, working-class anthems, performed three songs, including “The Promised Land,” adding to Harris’s appeal to blue-collar voters.

Harris is enlisting the support of well-known celebrities in key states to gain an edge over her opponent, Donald Trump.

Reports suggest she will appear with Beyoncé in Texas later this week, part of a series of events in battleground regions.

At the Atlanta event, Harris encouraged Georgia voters to make their voices heard. Georgia, which turned blue for the first time since 1992 four years ago, also shifted control of the US Senate to the Democrats.

She warned of “brutally serious” consequences if Trump were to win the presidency again, adding, “Someone who says we should terminate the Constitution of the United States of America should never again stand behind the seal of the president of the United States of America. Never again.”

Harris made a special appeal to young voters, emphasising the need for new, hopeful leadership.

“There is an overwhelming call for a fresh start, for a new generation of leadership that is optimistic and excited about what we can do together,” Harris said.

"There is a yearning for a president of the United States who will see you, who gets you and who will fight for you,” she added. 

Obama spoke to the crowd, acknowledging that many people desire change but argued that Trump was not the candidate who would deliver positive change.

“I get why people are looking to shake things up,” he said, referring to his own 2008 campaign slogan.

“But what I cannot understand is why anybody would think that Donald Trump would shake things up in ways that are good for you, he added.”

"We do not need four years of a wannabe king, a wannabe dictator, running around trying to punish his enemies," Obama said.

Harris added, “There is an overwhelming call for a fresh start, for a new generation of leadership that is optimistic and excited about what we can do together.

There is a yearning for a president of the United States who will see you, who gets you and who will fight for you.”
