Nissanka is yet to recover from the hamstring injury he sustained during the Afghanistan series.

Pathum Nissanka will miss Sri Lanka's upcoming T20I series in Bangladesh due to the hamstring injury that he sustained during the home series against Afghanistan. Initially, he was expected to be fit in time for the tour but as things haven't panned out in a satisfactory manner, Nissanka has been replaced in the squad by Avishka Fernando.

Wanindu Hasaranga will continue to be the skipper for the series but will miss the first two games due to the suspension he received after openly criticizing the umpiring in the final T20I against Afghanistan. Charith Asalanka, the designated deputy for the series, shall be the acting captain for the first two matches.

Rest of the squad remains the same from the one that faced Afghanistan while Jeffrey Vandersay comes in as the extra member in the 17-man squad.

Sri Lanka are set to play three T20Is followed by three ODIs and two Tests on their tour of Bangladesh that kicks off on March 4 with the T20Is.
