G20 summit ends with no progress on climate Gaza war updates

The G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro ended on November 18 without any progress on UN climate negotiations as the Russia Ukraine war and Donald Trump's return to the White House overshadowed the issue.

Ahead of the summit, the UN had called on G20 nations to rescue stalled climate talks in Azerbaijan by pledging greater financial support to developing countries grappling with the devastating effects of global warming.

Moving to the latest on the West Asia crisis, at least 20 people were killed in Gaza during a Hamas-led operation to attack 'gangs' who tried looting around 100 aid trucks.

The trucks were carrying the basic supplies in the war-hit zone.

Gaza ministry reported the attack as the biggest during 13 months of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Meanwhile, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russia's Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, Alexander Kozlov, met in Pyongyang on Monday as the two nations continue to deepen ties.

In parallel, a delegation from a Russian military academy also arrived in the North Korean capital, although, as per AFP, their agenda was shrouded in secrecy.
